Review the delivery approach

Clarity before
data moves.

For deployments in Kenya, we work with partners to align data residency and processing arrangements with Kenya’s Data Protection Act, 2019.

01

Where is the data?

Agree production, backup and recovery locations. Review any cross-border data flow and the safeguards applicable to the proposed arrangement.

02

Who can access it?

Define controller and processor responsibilities, permitted support access, approval and logging arrangements, and data-processing terms.

03

Which services are involved?

Map the data shared with insurers, infrastructure providers and any messaging or AI services included in the agreed scope.

04

What happens through its lifecycle?

Document retention, return and deletion, handling of data-subject requests, and incident-response contacts and responsibilities.

Kenya’s ODPC explains the principles of purpose limitation, data minimisation, retention and safeguards for transfers. Read the official guidance

Questions for
a first conversation.

The practical details your business, technology and procurement teams may want to cover.

Who can I speak with in Kenya?

Benedict Oyondi and Elsy M. Nyaga are our Kenya-based client contacts. Email either person using the links above to discuss a business need, arrange a demonstration or plan a technical conversation. Product and technical support are provided by the China team within the agreed project scope.

Can we start with one workflow?

Yes. We can discuss a focused pilot around a defined user group and business task. Agree the scope, data access, responsibilities, commercial terms and success measures before work begins. Connections to your systems and insurers are assessed as part of that scope.

Will our data be hosted in Kenya?

The hosting location is agreed for each project. Production data, backups, recovery environments and permitted support access are reviewed together. A Kenya-based contact, this website or an ISO certificate does not by itself confirm a particular hosting location.

How do we agree support coverage?

The service plan should name your account contact, customer administrator and technical escalation owner, then define service hours in East Africa Time, issue priorities, response targets and escalation steps. Coverage and commitments are agreed for the engagement.

Are Kenyan insurer and payment connections already included?

Connections depend on the participating organisations, available interfaces and agreed scope. Existing China connections are experience, not proof of a Kenyan integration. Insurer or payment access, permissions, data mapping and acceptance tests are confirmed before a connection is committed.

What should we bring to a first conversation?

A short description of your organisation, the workflow you want to improve, the systems you use and the people who will evaluate the result. An example using synthetic or anonymised data is useful; policyholder records and identity or medical documents are not needed for an initial enquiry.
